Sure we are getting close to The Singularity, but certainly there are some things that robots just won’t be able to do.   I’ve been a future-fanboy for some time now. I’ve had visions of brain-computer interfaces and bionic prosthetics that lead to enhanced-humans and explosive advancements in strong artificial intelligence eventually resulting in an additive-population of insanely intuitive, profoundly productive, autonomous humanoid-robots that are superior to us Homo-Sapien-Sapiens in every single thinkable way.   And then I saw Glas. A mesmerizing short documentary film about glassblowing made in 1958 by Dutch filmmaker, Bert Haanstra.
